Who Qualifies For SASSA Child Grant March 2023
Withdrawing funds from social grants has been a challenge for beneficiaries in recent months.
For the March 2023 payment cycle, social grants have already begun receiving their funds.
According to a statement released by Sassa, social grants have begun to be distributed. In March 2023, Sassa grants will be paid as follows
- Older Person’s Grants – Thursday, 2 March 2023
- Disability Grants – Friday, 3 March 2023
- Child support and other grants – Monday, 6 March 2023
Funds are not required to be collected on the exact payment date, as the Agency continues to remind grant beneficiaries.
After the grant has been paid, the beneficiaries will be able to access the money until they choose to take it.
The funds can be collected in a variety of ways, including from ATMs, shops like Shoprite Checkers, U-Save, Pick ‘n Pay or Boxer.
SSA encourages beneficiaries of Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grants to specify their preferred payment method for accessing and collecting their funds wherever they are.
The South African Post Office is no longer a collection point for SRD grant payments, so clients are prohibited from collecting those payments there.
Sassa and the Post Office failed to reach a contractual agreement.
Since the previous financial year, the Post Office has been penalized for not providing services.
