Nzimande Call to Students Apply for NSFAS Grants Ahead of 2024. Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Blade Nzimande, encourages students to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) as it opens applications for study grants.

Application Period Initiated

NSFAS officially commenced its application process for study grants on Tuesday, signaling the beginning of a two-month window for eligible students to submit their applications. The closing date for applications is set for 31 January 2024.

Minister Urgent Appeal

Minister Nzimande, addressing the media, emphasized the importance of students seizing this opportunity for financial assistance. He stressed, “We urge students to apply for NSFAS. That’s their future. The ones who qualify, and no one must be misled into not applying. The only way to access NSFAS is through applying.”
