NSFAS To Soon Introduce More Ways To Apply For Bursaries

There will soon be more ways to apply for the bursary through NSFAS. More students will be able to apply for funding through these methods.

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will soon launch additional application methods. These include WhatsApp, mobile app and USSD. If you are intrusted in Nsfas application

As a result of issues with these alternative application methods, NSFAS has halted their use. Once the new system has been stabilized and all issues have been resolved, the new application methods will be released to the public. 

In order to further their education, NSFAS provides financial assistance to students. Students who meet the bursary requirements and plan to attend public universities or TVET colleges may apply for the bursary.

In the meantime, students can apply online via the NSFAS website. To apply online for NSFAS, follow these steps:

  • Create a myNsfas account. 
  • If you have an existing myNsfas account, click on ‘login’ when going to myNsfas and complete your information.
  • If you don’t have a myNsfas account, click on ‘Create account’.
  • Log into your myNsfas account.
  • Click on ‘Apply’.
  • Answer the questions on the screen.
  • Upload the required supporting documents.
  • Click on ‘Submit’.
  • You will then receive an application reference number.
