If students have any challenges with their National Student Financial Aid Scheme bursaries, they can resolve them on their campus. Following the deployment of officials at universities and colleges across the country, this comes as a result of the scheme.

NSFAS Sends Representatives To Assist Students

Students from poor and working-class homes can obtain tertiary education qualifications with the assistance of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

Temporary placements of NSFAS officials

There have been temporary placements of NSFAS officials at public universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges across the country. Students will be able to resolve questions and challenges regarding the NSFAS bursary with the assistance of these officials.

Student resources and information are brought closer to students through the deployment of financial aid officials on campuses.

To request assistance from NSFAS officials, students should visit the financial aid office on their campus.

Contact your institution’s student services office if you cannot locate the NSFAS representative on your campus. Information about the NSFAS representatives on campus can be obtained from the student services office.

  • Please look out for the offices of the myNsfas in your respective institutions. You can also contact your institution’s student services office to help you locate NSFAS within your campuses. 

A team of officials will be stationed at campuses across the country until 17 February 2023. Just over a week remains for students to resolve any bursary challenges.

In spite of the fact that the NSFAS application period for 2023 has ended, unsuccessful bursary applicants still have the opportunity to appeal the decision made by NSFAS.

NSFAS bursaries cover tuition and accommodation fees. Students will also receive a transport allowance, meal allowance and a book allowance.
