In July, Who Receives Their First Social Security Check?

There is no secret that Social Security Administration checks are mailed on different days. There are up to four different days on which retirees can receive their check. Pre-1997 beneficiaries will always receive their monthly check on the first of the month. These pensioners receive their checks on the 3rd day of each month from the Social Security Administration. Benefits for retirees who received their money after that time will be paid in the following weeks. This group of seniors will not receive the next payment. As a result, these retirees have already received their checks.

After 1997, when will I receive my pension?

If you didn’t apply for your pension prior to 1997, there is no need to worry. The Social Security Administration will still ensure that you receive your check next week, although it may take a little longer for the funds to reach you. Here are the designated days for collecting your Age or Disability Pension in July:

• July 12th: Retirees born between the 1st and 10th of any month will receive their benefit on this day.
• July 19th: Beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st will receive their check on this date.
• July 26th: Individuals who have a benefit and were born between the 21st and 31st will receive their check on this day.

After these dates, pensioners will have to wait until May to receive their payment. However, if they receive Supplemental Security Income, they will be able to receive it on May 1st. The remaining payments for the month will be made on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th, depending on the beneficiary’s birthday.
