This special food assistance initiative, in collaboration with the state Department of Social Services and the Connecticut Department of Education, aims to support families with children during the back-to-school season.

Eligibility Criteria

Families with children enrolled in free or reduced-price meal programs at school, as well as those covered by Medicaid (HUSKY A) or Temporary Family Assistance (TFA), were eligible for these benefits.

Benefits Breakdown

Each eligible child received a one-time supplemental benefit of $120, automatically transferred to their electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards.
