  8. Provide your banking details.
  9. Follow the prompts to complete your application.

  1. Add Sassa on WhatsApp using the number – 082 046 8553.
  2. Send a message to the number – Send “SRD Grant”.
  3. Indicate if you are applying for a grant for yourself (by sending the number 1) or on behalf of someone else (by sending number 2).
  4. Provide your name as it appears on your identity document.
  5. Share your surname as it appears on your identity document.
  6. Read and accept the terms and conditions by responding “YES”.
  7. Indicate your citizenship status (South African citizen – 1, Permanent Resident – 2, Refugee – 3).
  8. Click on the link sent to you in the WhatsApp chat.
  9. Confirm and accept the Clauses in the Declaration and Consent documents.
  10. Enter your ID number.
  11. Follow the prompts to complete your R350 grant application for August.

Eligibility for the R350 Grant

To qualify for the R350 grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Unemployed
  • South African citizens, permanent refugees, permanent residents, asylum seekers, and special permit holders
  • Aged between 18 and 59
  • Monthly income not exceeding R624 in their bank account
